Burning Crusade Videos

I've taken some more hours of wasted time :) and found some of the best Burning Crusade videos. There are literally dozens more out there. I was looking for one that shows some features of the Burning Crusade expansion pack for World of Warcraft ( WoW ) online game play. The video below shows one World of Warcraft player's path to the first Burning Crusade Level 70.

You can get some ideas on World of Warcraft (WoW) online game play (or nothing at all) and see some of the strategy, tricks, features, maybe cheats and the Burning Crusade expansion pack features.

If you get by the corny track it's ok:

World Of Warcraft (WOW):
Burning Crusade Expansion Pack

Cheats, Strategy, Hints, Clues
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (Expansion Pack)

One of the biggest attractions of Burning Crusade for World of Warcraft is the expansion up to Level 70. Since its introduction, World of Warcraft has limited players just to 60 levels. With the Burning Crusade expansion pack, Levels 61-70 are opened up - along with a host of critical advantages and powers, the most famous being the ability to buy one of the flying mounts, like the neutral NetherDrake. More on the Burning Crusade flying mounts below, but imagine being able to fly after having been land-bound for two years. WoW!

Already Blizzard Entertainment has announced 2.5 million sales of Burning Crusade, the first World of Warcraft add-on pack. This is a must-have addition for the 8 million registered users of the online game World of Warcraft from Blizzard Entertainment.

Why such a huge phenomena for the new Burning Crusade Warcraft pack? The addition of the new Levels up to 70 and flying mounts are obvious. But there is a lot more. We will rovide some of the strategy tricks and hints here, and will review World of Warcraft (WOW) more tricks, cheats, hints and cheat codes in later posts. For now, understand Warcraft is a hugely popular MMORPG - Massively Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Game. It is the fourth in the series of Warcraft games. You interact with other players and groups of players via massive online game play.

Burning Crusade is the first official expansion pack for the World of Warcraft. As an expansion pack, it does not change the strategy of the underlying World of Warcraft online game, but provides new worlds, powers and characters. An official description of the Burning Crusade expansion is:

Several years have passed since the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal and the races of Azeroth have continued to rebuild their once shattered lives. With renewed strength, the heroes of the Horde and Alliance have begun to explore new lands and broken through the Dark Portal to investigate the realms beyond the known world. Will these heroes find friends or foes? What dangers and rewards lie in wait beyond the Dark Portal? And what will they do when they discover that the demons they thought vanquished have returned to renew their terrible Burning Crusade?World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expands the game by tremendous bounds, adding new races, lands, Battlegrounds, professions and items, and more!

The Burning Crusade was released in January 2007 to long lines at game stores throughout the United States, Europe and Canada. Rollouts in other major online game markets are meeting similar receptions. This is a worldwide online game with players from China, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, South Africa and more, in addition to the U.S., Europe and Canada.

The content of the Burning Crusade expansion of the World of Warcraft (WoW) is almost all unavailable to players who do not purchase the expansion pack. The pack is widely available in stores and online.

The Burning Crusade expands the WoW game adding new races, lands, professions, items, Battlegrounds and more. Here are some of the features in the Burning Crusade pack:

  • Level Cap: Increased to 70!

  • New Spells for each class

  • Outland, A New Continent: Outland is a new continent introduced in the Burning Crusade expansion pack. Outland is reachable via the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands. Find a map of the new Outland continent on the World of Warcraft Burning Crusade site. Outland is all that remains of Draenor, the home world of the Orcs. Outland includes 7 new zones, Hellfire Peninsula (Levels 58-63), Zangarmarsh (Levels 60-64, Nagrand (Levels 64-67), Terokkar Forest (Levels 62-66), Blades Edge Mountains (Levels 65-68), Netherstorm (Levels 67-70), and the forlorn Shadowmoon Valley.

  • A new Arena for Player versus Player combat with their enemies. You can form Arena teams, fight for victory lust or rewards, and compete for the top spot on the Arena Ladder System type of leaderboard. Two new Arenas are the Ring of Trials in Nagrand, and the Circle of Blood in the Blade's Edge Mountains.

  • Two New Playable Races: The Blood Elves (Blood Elf) and the Draenei, each with its own mythology and history. The power-hungry Blood Elves, are a group of fallen high elves joining the Horde, along with Orcs, Trolls, Undead and Tauren. Their capital is in Silvermoon City. Their mount is the hawkstrider, discussed below. The available classes are Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Mage and Warlock. Their new starting areas are Eversong Woods (Level 1-10) and Ghostlands (Level 10-20). Blood Elves are depicted in the picture in their starting area in Sunstrider Isle in Everson Woods, in Quel'thlas .

Also there are the majestic Draenei, a faction of uncorrupted Eredar. Their leader is Velen and they join up with the Alliance. Their capital is found in The Exodar, and their mount is the elekk. The Draenei of the Burning Crusade also have two new starting zones off the west coast of Kalimdor, namely Azuremyst Isle (Levels 1-10) and Bloodmyst Isle (Levels 10-20).

  • New Mounts: The two new races come equiped with their own new types of mounts. The hawkstrider mount of the Blood Elf, and is an ostrich-like bird. The elekk is like a tusked mastadon, and can be found outside the Exodar for the Draenei. New mounts also are available by drop from Karzhan and high end instances.

  • New Flying Mounts in the New Outland Continent: These are the neutral NetherDrake, the New Alliance mounts, the eagle-like Gryphon and the New Horde mount, the dragon-like Wyvern. Usable in Outland level 70.

  • Improved Player vs. Player Honor sytem.

  • Settable Dungeon Difficulty Setting (DDS).

  • Socketed items - these are items that can use the jewelery created by the jewelcrafting trade.

  • A new Battleground, named the Eye of the Storm for Player vs. Player combat. It is a domination / one flag CTF battleground where teams of 15 Players compete. The setting is the wasteland of Netherstorm on the new Outland continent.

  • 3 new cities: The Exodar, Shattrath and Silvermoon

  • New high-level dungeons to explore in the lands of Azeroth and Outland. In Outland there are Hellfire Citadel in the Hellfire Peninsula, Coilfang Reservoir in the Zangarmarsh, Auchindoun in the Trokkar Forest, Tempest Keep near Netherstorm, Gruul's Lair in Blade's Edge Mountains and the Black Temple in the Shadowmoon Valley. In Azeroth there are Caverns of Time, in Tanaris and Karazhan, in Deadwind Pass.

Flash Element TD Cheats

A lot of people are asking for more cheats, tricks and strategy hints on Flash Element TD, the very popular tower defense free online game. Previously we provided some cheats, hints and strategy (and even an alleged hack) in our review of Flash Element TD (follow link to get there). Now we have found or developed some more cheats and strategies that you can try to get a lot of success in online Flash Element TD. One guy has a lot of nice graphics too that we have linked to.

Update: You now can play Flash Element TD via the remote version here at Just Online Games, featuring big bandwidth and convenience! Follow the preceding link.

We don't think these really are cheats, as they are not cheat codes for Flash Element TD (yet). Rather they are more strategy hints that can be followed to the higher levels of Flash element TD, although some cheats are in there to be found by doing the strategies noted.

You can play this game and discover the tricks and cheats to win with some practice. The tips we provide here can help you accelerate that Flash Element TD skill learning.

Here are some of the best cheats for Flash Element TD discovered so far:

  • Use the overlapping tower cheat.
  • As another variant on the overlapping tower cheat, Go three deep up the right side of the maze with fire towers at later stages of Flash Element TD
  • Move towers cheat: Sell towers as they get out of range to inc erase banked gold when have a high interest rate. Especially in last round to increase the number of points in end. Here click this link for a YouTube video of the move towers cheat.
  • Right Side Strategy / Cheat: This may actually be a hack. One staple of Flash Element TD lore is that you can beat the final level by lining the right side with fire towers exclusively, utilizing the overlapping tower cheat, and also utilizing upgrades of the towers. Here is a link for a YouTube video of the right side fire tower Flash Element TD strategy implemented to beat Flash Element TD.
  • Build Money Fast Strategy (not cheat): earn a lot of interest and money so you can freely buy lives as needed. This Flash Element TD trick is discussed more below.
  • When initially building, create strong spots. So spread towers to cover entire maze first, and then when entire maze covered, build strong spots i.e. around each of the towers built. Eventually entire maze will be covered and be a giant Flash Element TD strong spot.
Here's one cheat / strategy we like - Using Arrow towers at the beginning and upgrade them.

  • In early levels, try 2 arrow towers and upgrade them when you can, and then add a third arrow
  • Level 3, another arrow tower and upgrade
  • Level 7 use wood to buy water tower and build a water tower
  • Then add another water tower when needed, upgrade
  • These should get you up to Level 14, although you can add another water tower if needed. Make sure the water towers are within range of at least 1 or 2 arrow towers to get the added firepower in the splash zones.
  • Level 14 buy fire sell all the arrow towers
  • Then keep adding fire towers. Should also spread splash zones all throughout the maze board of Flash Element TD.
  • Level 21 take interest with the wood, same at Level 28
  • At the final levels where the baddies and creeps go to 5000 HP all the way to 30,000 HP you will need to keep adding fire towers, use the overlay cheat and upgrade strategically.
  • The fourth bonus level (20,000 HP) you need at least 5 rocket towers, preferably 15 all placed to attack in slow spots.

One cheat or strategy we like is the Build Money fast trick for defeating Flash Element TD. That way you can buy lives with gold whenever you need them and effectively double the size of the maze by if necessary allowing the baddies creeps to go through twice. One way of doing this is nicely laid out at diy Nation blog. An adaptation of this build money Flash Element TD strategy is:

  • Round 1 - Use a single upgraded Arrow tower
  • Upgrade to level 3 in next round
  • Then in each of rounds 5 and 6, add another arrow tower and full upgrade it.
  • In round 8, use wood to buy fire element and then any time another wood pops up buy interest. Build a fire tower and sell an arrow tower.
  • In round 10 add another fire tower and sell an arrow tower
  • In round 13 add another Fire Tower
  • In round sell last arrow tower and add fire tower.
  • Upgrade first fire tower to level 2 power
  • Round 19: Upgrade first and second fire towers
  • In round 21, make sure all fire towers have been upgraded and add one more at level 1
  • In round 26, upgrade fire tower last one.
  • In round 30 add 2 fire towers
  • Round 32, add 4 more level 2 fire towers
  • Round 36-37: and upgrade and add more as needed.

Flashcraft Tower Defence

Flashcraft Tower Defence
Another entry in the Tower Defense Online Game Genre

Hints, Strategy, Clues, Solutions

Flashcraft Tower Defence (i.e. Tower Defense) is another entrant into the popular tower defense genre of fun, playable online games. The tower defense game (spelled in this one with a "c", i.e. Flashcraft Tower Defence) has baddies of increasing toughness who come at players in wave after wave of baddie creeps.

Previously we reviewed Flash Element TD, which is the most popular of the flash tower defense games. The Flashcraft Tower Defence online game provides a worthy alternative to Flash Element TD players looking for other challenges. In this review, we provide hints and a winning strategy for the game. The game has three levels of increasing difficulty, the easiest being relatively easy to beat, and the highest most difficult.

As in tower defense games, players build towers and blast the baddies as they come by. A cheat, or more correctly a strategy, we have found works is lining the roadway with ice tower cannon first to slow down the baddies, then ultra towers. You also can add a light tower or two, but at higher levels we prefer ice and ultra towers. Upgrade to the max when possible. Also click on the red tower being defended at the center of the maze and buy defenses to the max for it. The green Tech Tower is at the lower right of the maze and provides tools to increase powers, including Building to up building speed, Walls to increase defenses, and piercing power. It also will be necessary to by increasing Tech Levels. In more difficult play of Flashcraft Tower Defence, buying wall strength is particularly important. Building speed also is important because you will need to upgrade towers while under attack.

As in the Flash Element TD game, there are trade-offs depending on which of the tools or towers you need. One key is to upgrade towers as you can. The ice towers although less valuable are good for slowing the baddies, as the water towers are in Flash Element TD. Although the Flashcraft Tower Defence game pre-dates the Flash Element TD online game, in our view the Flash Element TD online game sets the standard now because of its popularity and continual evolution. However, the Flashcraft Tower Defence online game is a worthy alternative in the tower defense genre.

You can find the game here: Flashcraft Tower Defence, and online tower defense game.

Flash Element TD

Flash Element TD
A fun, simple Warcraft inspired Tower Defense Flash Game

Hints, Strategy, Clues, Cheats, Hacks
*updated*

Flash Element TD is a fun, free online Tower Defense flash game. The flash game has an engaging simplicity about it - selecting and building towers to defend the maze against wave after wave of baddies called "creeps". I have played this free online flash game way too much, and provide tips, hints, strategy and solutions for achieving the higher levels in the game here, some cheats ... keep reading.

Recently, an upgrade has been implemented to Flash Element TD. With the upgrade you can buy extra lives, critical at the higher levels. New creeps (baddies) added as well.

The Flash Element TD game is loosely based on the MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) called Warcraft. The object of the Flash Element TD game is to survive creeps waves, where the creeps become increasingly difficult to destroy. By building battle towers at strategic locations you can survive to higher levels of the game. As a part of the strategy in Flash Element TD, you need to save gold, in order to earn more interest at the end of each round. However there is a trade-off of saving to building in Flash Element TD. If you do not build enough, you lose, but if you do not save, you cannot build.

Each of the towers in Flash Element TD game have advantages and weaknesses against particular baddies. Before an air attach you are forewarned, and must make sure you have good defenses since the earth towers and the cannons do not work against air attack. Some baddies are "immune" to water towers too. However, water towers are extremely valuable, because they do damage and slow down the creeps - enhancing the strength of the other towers since you can get off more shots before the creeps are out of range.

Here's how the flash game works: You start out with an empty maze, twenty lives and some spending gold. Build some towers and hit "start" or "next level". The creeps (or baddies) come through and your towers blast away.

Here is a hint: if it looks like you did not build enough towers, you can add extras DURING the round. You also can upgrade. So before the creeps pass you by, you can add a tower to get them.

Here are some of the hints, clues and strategy for playing the Flash Element TD online flash game and have a lot of fun doing it.

One strategy is to optimize the towers you build. Note that you get bigger bang for each extra piece of gold. However, I also have found that with the stronger towers like fire and water towers, a larger number of towers is better than optimizing in playing the Flash Element TD game. The reason is that some waves of baddie creeps are really fast, and the towers can't fire fast enough to get them all. So in later rounds build a lot of water and fire towers to get them all.

Here is another Flash Element TD strategy hint. Use the minimal number of resources necessary to make it through a level. At higher levels the baddie creeps are really hard to destroy. So you need to build A LOT of fire towers, and water towers to slow them down. I have not found the earth towers to be very useful. However, there is a rumor that they will be upgraded by the authors soon. You also need to save a lot of gold. You will need to use it to buy extra lives at the upper levels. Keep at least 1200 golds in the bank to buy your way out of trouble at 40 pieces per life.

Here are some more playing tips to save your gold and beat online Flash Element TD. Cheats at the end of the list.

  • Use the center part first. It takes longest for the baddie creeps to get through there so you get off more shots.
  • Place your weapons strategically. Pick locations where you can get the creeps twice - like between aisles in the maze. Another tip is to place weapons at turns because the creeps slow down there.
  • Place a few weapons on the last aisle up the right side of the maze. The baddie creeps go faster there, so use water towers to slow them down.
  • When you earn wood in Flash Element TD, you have a choice of learning to build a new tower, or alternatively earning more interest. I have found alternating between learning and interest works best. Try water, then interest, then fire, then interest.
  • An alternative upgrade strategy that can work is Fire, then interest, then interest, then water.
  • Another one that reportedly works well is going for fire, then interest, interest and interest. Not verified.
  • Here is a higher level tip: should have at least a dozen water and fire towers. Those will be your most effective weapons. It is important to have a lot of overlapping firing zones.
  • I particularly like putting a lot of firepower at the lower left of the maze. The baddie creeps have to slow down there a lot. Make that a firing range.
  • Another hint, try not to upgrade weapons much until you fill the screen a lot.
  • It is possible to double or triple the number of towers by overlapping them. You need to be careful in placing them to avoid switching to the upgrade tower on the tower you are trying to overlap. Rumor has it that v2 of online Flash Element TD will eliminate this cheat, meaning the authors view this a glitch too.
  • Another cheat, really a hack, reportedly is to use Cheat Engine, to do a hack. We really don't like score hacking since it skews the leaderboard, so don't recommend this cheat. It is reportedly used to hack the gold level up. You do it by finding the "40" parameter for the starting level of gold in the game. Then buy something, say a canon tower, reducing gold to "31". then find the 31 parameter and you isolated the gold variable. Set it at the level you want and the rest is history.
  • Also see our later article on Flash Element TD Cheats and Strategy.
Update: You can play the game here at Just Online Games: Flash Element TD - A tower defense game. Really convenient and big Bandwidth too!

You also can play at the Novel Concepts site.

Cathy's Book Game - Call

Cathy's Book Alternative Reality Game (ARG)
or Cathy's Book: If Found Call 650-266-8233

Really, that's the title of the book that starts the online game: "Cathy's Book: If Found Call 650-266-8233". We'll call it the "Cathy's Book" game for shorthand.

This online game is in the "ARG" genre or Alternative Reality Games - mixing free cyberspace hunting with the game, and some opportunity for real world action. In this review, we will provide links to clues, hints, and spoilers to get started and have fun with this online ARG game.

First watch the Cathy's Book trailers on YouTube... You will find more meaning in it if you play the online game. Here is a user-created video of finding Cathy's book at a bookstore. They call the number on the cover and find out what happens.

The access code for the phone number reportedly is "1234". So when you call the number, enter the code when Cathy's answering machine asks you to enter the code. This will take you into the secret world of the Cathy's Book ARG online game.

The book description gives a hint of the online game to come: "combines reading with a world of Internet gaming to create a masterful new genre ... to take the story from the page into the world of cyberspace and beyond."

To start out the game for free before buying the book, you also can go to CathysBook.com. You will find the first clues there. One is buy the book to get the evidence packet of shredded photo, lipstick stained napkin, and other items of value. The other big clue is to go to DoubleTalkWireless.com. Why go there? When you get there, it says "UNDER CONSTRUCTION", but don't let that fool you. Surf around a bit and you'll get the idea.

Well we'll tell you.... Lot's of hints and clues there. Some spoilers too. First click on "Who We Are" and look at the two biographies. Emma, who has the color sense that makes "investors go all swoony and beg her to pull checks from their sweaty hands". Hmmm. Kind of a strange bio for a wireless phone company. But this is not your ordinary phonte company. The other bio is for Cathy Vickers, the brains of the operation. What kind of operation is this anyway? Think spy agency.

Next click on Forums, and you get to the guts of the game. There, find Access Codes and quick references, speculation and discussion, help and the opportunity to meet other players.

There are a number of other in-game sites like LuckyFortuneForYou.com and the UK site at CathysBook.co.ukhttp://doubletalkwireless.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=115. There you will find in-game phone numbers to call and access codes. Another good cheat/hit page on doubletalkwireless forum is at: http://doubletalkwireless.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49. There you will find more numbers and access codes for Cathy's Book and links to in-game websites and out-of-game websites. As always be wary of misdirection and false clues or cheats

Line Rider Game

Line Rider is an often imitated free online game, that has become a hugely popular Internet sensation.

BEWARE: this game is addictive! The basic idea is the character rides lines the player creates, unless he hits the end of the line, in which case he flies into space to descend forever into a bottomless abyss. Lines can be drawn, erased and glued together. Literally thousands of Line Rider game play videos have been created. We've posted some of the best LineRider videos here.

Dozens of sites have sprung up copying the popular flash game. We will give two links to "official" sites that will provide your best and probably safest playing experience.

There also are some imitation sites that have sprung up. If the Linerider online game you find does not have the character we posted here, it likely is an imitation.

The legend of creation of the Line Rider online game is that the game was created in Slovenia by Boštjan Cadež in 2006. The game has developed a following and players can create videos of their play, and post them on YouTube.com. Recently a company named InXile Entertainment announced it had the rights to develop a new version of the game suitable for game players like Xbox or Nintendo Wii. There are rumors that InXile is trying to stop the fake sites, one of which could be Linerider.org, which posted a message on their site loosely acknowledging they were not authorized, but stating they are trying to work out a deal. Another fake site may be at Linerider.com, which has statements posted that they are "not affiliated with the inXile".

In any event we support the legitimate creators, and here are some great sites to find and play the free Line Rider online game:

  • Line Rider Game at deviantart.com - posted by user *fsk, who is Boštjan Cadež the original creator. This site has the original version of the game, and the link above is for the updated version. This version was downloaded over 1,000,000 times.

Snowflakes Game

Snowdays - Snowflakes holiday game

Here at the Just Online Games blog we highlight fun games in the unexplored corners of the Internet.

This edition is about Snowdays, a hugely popular game that goes into hiding for 8 months of the year. It's not exactly hiding, but it zooms to huge popularity around the holidays, Christmas and Hanukkah, lingers throughout the winter and then drops off as if hiding until the following fall.

You can find it at Popularfront.com, a site run by the Salvation Army. Now don't worry, they do not hit you up for donations, it is a totally free game. The fundraising aspect is that other people donate based on the amount of game play. So go have fun, make snowflakes and help feed the homeless at the same time.

Here is how to play the game: When you get to the Snowdays snowflake winter game site, click on "click your own snowflake". Watch the animated paper folding. Then start cutting. You do that by clicking and dragging your mouse along the paper, serving to cut out pieces of it. You can see the snowflake image forming before your eyes as you cut, in the flake preview pane to the right.

Website As Art Game

Aharef Web Site Art Game

I found this innovative website art game a little while ago. It creates a work of art, or a "graph" out of any website. Here's how it works. Go to the website as art site, enter the web address of your favorite website, then watch the painting (or "graph") grow right before your eyes. You can do this over and over. Watch out, it can grow to be addicting!

For techies, the painting is color coded, and each color means something else in Internet programming:

  • blue for links
  • red for tables
  • green for the DIV tag
  • violet for images
  • yellow for forms
  • orange for line breaks and block quotes
  • black for links and root directory
  • gray all others

This game was not the first representation of Internet images with line and spoke arrangements. This image is a visualization of various routes through a portion of the Internet:
